Course Overview:
• Duration: 8 hours total, including 4 hours of classroom instruction and 4 hours of range time
• Classroom Component (4 hours): Gain a thorough understanding of Idaho’s concealed carry laws, use of force, justifiable force, citizen’s arrest, reciprocity with other states, and firearm safety, storage, and handling. Our expert instructors, certified by USCCA, will guide you through the legal requirements outlined in Idaho Code 18-3302K, ensuring you’re fully prepared to apply for your Enhanced Concealed Carry Permit.
• Tactical Pistol Training (4 hours): Dive into an intense, hands-on 4-hour tactical pistol training session at the range. This segment focuses on advanced firearm handling, safe and effective shooting techniques, and tactical scenarios to build your confidence and proficiency in real-world self-defense situations. You’ll fire a minimum of 98 rounds, load and unload your own firearm and magazines, and demonstrate safe handling under the supervision of our certified instructors. This is not a beginner shooting course—participants must have basic familiarity with firearms.
• Who Can Attend:
• New Applicants: If you’re 18 or older, a U.S. citizen or legal resident, and meet Idaho’s eligibility requirements, this full course qualifies you to apply for your Idaho Enhanced Concealed Carry Permit, recognized in approximately 39 states for reciprocity.
• Current Permit Holders: Already have your Idaho Enhanced Concealed Carry Permit? Sign up for the 4-hour tactical pistol training portion to enhance your skills, improve your marksmanship, and master defensive tactics in high-pressure scenarios.
Requirements:
• Be 18 years of age or older (for permit eligibility)
• Be legally eligible to possess a firearm under Idaho and federal law
• Bring a fully functioning handgun
• Bring 300 rounds of ammunition
• Wear appropriate range attire: comfortable, range-of-motion clothing, flat-soled closed-toe shoes, and eye and ear protection
• Additional magazines and a holster are recommended
• Lunch break will be available with water provided at the range
